A storyboard is like a graphic organizer of illustrations or images that go in sequence to help plan out a motion picture or movie. Storyboarding was first developed at the Walt Disney Studios during the early 1930s. Storyboards are used all over the place to help plan out different things. Examples would be comic books, Business, Animatics, and much much more. Monday, March 23, 2009

ACSS Theatre Production Poster

Our class was asked to submit a poster for our school's theatre production for this spring. This is the poster that I made. I found the photo of this Pinup made off of photobucket. I thought that the photo of this maid fit well because in a lot of plays the maid is usually always up to date with the house gossip and can seem quite innocent. But there is always more to the story. I'm the actor for the maid in The Bald Soprano!

What's Happening In The Library?
Last week in the library, friendship photos for the grad class of 2009 were being taken. I was assigned to be the photographer and edit the best photos that would be used for this section in the yearbook. I was given the school camera and over the course of 3 days I photographed students with their friends in the grad class. The pictures below are the best ones in my opinion.

Jeanette is one of my friends who sat through 3 lunch hours with me while I waited for people to show up. What a trooper! I liked the way that she is the main focus in the picture and everything else seems distant.
The boys gave me a sexy tiger pose! This one is probably my favourite. Each face is different and unique. Great work guys!
The librarian's grandson is the cutest thing I've ever seen! I love his red hair, and it showed up beautifully when i played around with the shadows and light. What a model!
International students from China, Taiwan, and Japan all showed up for this picture. It's nice to see the different cultures come together and be friends. They showed up great against the crushed velvet background.
The last one I've chosen here is Jenna and the Baby. Both posed nicely for the camera. What a cute couple!

My Photos
In Digital Media, we were asked to take photos, edit them, and pick the top 3 to post.
This is Toby Dyson in Acting 11/12. I used a filter to create the glowing effect on his skin, and another tool to make the spots of light.
This is a palm tree that's painted outside the school store. I used the same glow as I did on Toby's photo, but also added a grainy texture to the picture as well.

With the help of a professional Carver, Native students helped to create this massive Totem Pole that is now displayed in the main hallway.

What Is Digital Media?
Digital Media is the new way of media. Examples could be: Digital photos, Ipods, Videos, Slideshows, and more. In the past, film cameras were used to capture a picture. The film then had to be processed, and the result was just a photo you could keep. Now we can store, copy, edit, manipulate, and send photos over the computer; this is just one part of the Digital Media world. Another example is Ipods and MP3 players. Before these were invented, people had to either buy c.d's, or listen to the radio. Now everyone can have their favourite songs at the click of a button from hundreds of different artists at their finger tips.

So many different forms of media can now be sent through digital machinery.
i.e computers, fac machines, photo copiers, cellphones, pagers, and more.
The new Digital age has given a more eye catching, and easier way to distribute differen't types of advertising and other things that society uses on a daily basis.
